Also called soot trap and FAP. This device catches small soot particles (PM10 and PM2.5) in order to properly dispose it later during a regeneration procedure.

Dry
ECU changes fuel/air ratio in order to reach higher EGT.

Uses additive like Eolys to increase exhaust gases temperature and bring down in order to efficient disposal of the gathered soot.
