Some VAG vehicles (for example Audi Q7 4L) with some engines (for example 4.2TDI) are equipped with aux. heater from the factory. There's no remote start module (Webasto Telestart). The aux heater is controlled by the engine or climatronic module and used as a supplementary coolant heater. It turns on automatically with a cold engine. But you can add timer controls to it!

Coding for Webasto Timer support

Module 08 → Long Coding → byte 02 → bit 3 → enable Above coding example is for Audi Q7 4L (2014, after facelift, with 4-Zone Climatronic System).

Also make sure that the aux heater options are set in MMI → Green Engineering Menu → car.

Adaptation of the Webasto logic

Module 08 → Adaptation → Channel: 3 (Aux Heater Continues To Run after Engine Turned Of) → 1(yes)/2(no)

Module 08 → Adaptation → Channel: 16 (Aux Heater in Residual Heating Mode) → 0(off)/1(on)

Module 08 → Adaptation → Channel: 19 (Aux Heater Available in ECON Mode) → 0(off)/1(on)
