Factory systems
Immobilizer
Transponder in key and receiver in the ignition that checks if key matches the code stored in the car.
Dead lock
After some period of time interior door handle gets disconnected from the door mechanism so door can not be opened after braking the glass.
Zone lock
With a single press of the remote only the drivers door gets unlocked.
Anti-hijack
Also called auto-locking central lock. Locks the door when car reaches certain speed.
Car alarm

Armed indicator
Usually red LED flashing on the dashboard that indicates that the car has installed some kind of safety systems.
